NFTs and cryptocurrencies are sweeping the globe! Ukraine has received millions of dollars in bitcoin for crisis relief to support with a universal form of money. NFTs are now being incorporated into museums, brands, and even sports arenas, quickly becoming a part of mainstream society.
We see it growing around us, but many ask: how are these NFTs and Web3 assets applicable to a business? We spoke with Cameron Silver, NFT consultant and Web3 development coach, in search of answers.
“Web3 and the crypto space continue to open up amazing opportunities for brands and businesses willing to learn. Clothing brands are starting to utilize NFTs to begin distributing digital assets to combat the large overhead costs from physical asset needs. Artists distribute their content digitally to fund their careers; restaurants use NFTs for exclusive perks and NFTs as a ticket or access key to events. Some brands embrace web3 and its opportunities, creating digital meta-verse wearables replicating their physical pieces, allowing their products to be utilized in both worlds. These are just a few ways Web3 is being incorporated. This space is growing every day, and it’s just getting started! I can only imagine the incredible opportunities web3 has in store.”
One of Cameron’s assets is his ability to educate the NFT communities in which he is involved with. Often hosting Web3 basics classes, graph analysis walk-throughs, forex trading classes, Web3 branding, and marketing tips. Cameron’s knowledge and involvement within the community has earned him the nickname “Coach Cam.” Coach is a suitable title seeing his collegiate basketball career, how he ‘coaches’ NFT communities, and is building a Web3 team of his own. The most recent addition to Coach Cam’s NFTeam is NFT designer and creative branding specialist “Chef Brody.” This collaboration aims to allow companies to turn their NFT ideas and dreams into reality.
With NFTs, finding new creative ways to be able to showcase art is a growing focus. We talked with Russell “Brody” Baker who has been a successful graphic creative designer for over 15 years. To understand how one gets into the business, we asked what initially interested and pushed him to dive into the Web3 world?
“Learning about cryptos and NFTs was not on my mind 2 years ago. Fast forward to now, it has changed my life! Designing graphics, NFTs, and now advising brands is an amazing journey. There is always a continuation of learning and excitement within the community to learn about this new space. Now, with all the information and connections accessible, I want to be able to teach and help people looking to take advantage of the branding and marketing aspects that Web3 has to offer.”
“Being able to help in this Web3 space has become one of my greatest accomplishments! This is a new place for the world, and I think it’s important to get in on the backend and gain the knowledge to learn to run the narrative. Being a creative designer, it’s great to see people’s ideas and turn them into actual pieces and projects. We are in times where we can let our ideas out for the world to see!”
An illustration of a company entering the Web3 world is the ‘The HoodChef’ food truck. Coming to Los Angeles, California entrepreneur’ HoodChef’ showcases some new ideas incorporating food and Web3. Hood Chef sees “the benefits of incorporating Web3 with the NFTs giving special privileges to the owners of the NFT… allowing them (customers) to get discounts, or even free food and merchandise.” While excellent food is appreciated as is, why not mix in some NFTs and create an even better coalition to attract a larger demographic?
The Hood Chef has done just that. Using Hood Ape NFT assets to brand his truck, food, and packaging, he strengthens the community between food lovers and Web3 projects. When interviewed about why he uses NFT as a branding tool, he reasoned that “I used my NFT as branding to utilize the community power within the NFT webspace. The support from community members will help fuel the promotion of the business and in the physical when and if they buy off the truck.” This first was seen done with ‘Bored And Hungry’ Restaurant in Long Beach, California. This restaurant, created by Andy Nguyen, is inspired by and themed after the ‘Bored Ape Yacht Club’ NFT project.
Luckily, the true impact of NFTs will unfold gradually over the next few years. The infinite creativity that the world of Web3 offers will open up new doors to any who would like to be a part of this exciting space. You will be able to create involvement between your current, future, and ‘crypto degens’ customers. Now is the perfect time to focus on how we can build towards a better future in which NFTs bridge real-world products and experiences into the digital world of your choosing.
With the growth of entrepreneurs and the NFT, crypto involvement is growing exponentially. Cameron and Brody’s Web3 team will greatly indicate how the gaps between the communities are increasingly getting smaller. For businesses, the creativity in the space is limitless. Welcome to Web3.
